About Elute Ltd.

Elute is an early-stage software company developing a range of products that apply forensic linguistic principles to identify relevant documents from the millions stored in very large unstructured data sets and compare the text between them.

The core architecture enables documents to be read in a manner similar to humans, but by a computer at great speed. In a marked difference from artificial intelligence or semantic search approaches used by competing products, Elute’s software clearly shows why documents are relevant, allows rapid and detailed comparison of text in documents, and authorship detection to identify plagiarism and collusion.

The Opportunity

Elute is looking for an experienced CEO to oversee development of its unique technology and drive the business forward into multiple markets. The job calls for someone able to grow the customer base and revenues and lead growth within the team. Previous experience in a Software As A Service company is desirable, but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has proven technology and where you will have the chance to lead transformational growth.

The current team is based in Barcelona, Spain, but ideally candidates should be prepared to locate to Cambridge, UK. However, as the team is currently virtual, other locations will be considered.

Job Description

We are looking for a leader who can quickly grasp the technology and communicate the opportunity effectively to customers and investors.

You must be able to lead the company strategy, manage the staff members effectively, be responsible for the financial performance, and drive an efficient culture across the organisation.


  • Develop business prospects and licensing opportunities, implement appropriate and effective marketing strategies, manages contract negotiations
  • Create an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the company’s mission, vision, and values
  • Develop and implement the strategy for the growth of the company
  • Lead discussions with investors and shareholders to fund expansion
  • Operational management of the growing team
  • Develop effective recruitment, training, and compensation plans to attract and retain exceptional employees
  • Manage financial performance and key risks to the business
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new products and services
  • Represent the company at important business/industry events and networking opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with the board on the operational activities, industry trends, financial performance, and risks

Required Experience and skills:

  • Demonstrable track record of developing significant software based commercial opportunities
  • Business leadership and management
  • High growth marketing and business development in the B2B space
  • Strategic planning and vision
  • Managing the development of new products or services
  • Financial planning
  • Management experience with P&L and strategic development accountability
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field

Beneficial skills and experience:

  • 10 years of strategic development accountability
  • Experience of software services in the legal document management or document search fields would be valuable
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams
